15 weeks in and I wish I had something new to report. Chris is still doing well, he's been able to communicate a bit more than before which has been nice. It makes the distance a little more tolerable. He had the opportunity to work some nights with a crew that he seemed to like really well. That also made communication a lot easier! We've been playing Scrabble a bit, so that's pretty interesting! I hate to say it, but I'm kicking his butt! I'm the smart one and he's the pretty one!
He just ran the Army 10 miler Shadow Run in Iraq and did it in amazing time! 84 minutes to do 10 miles! I had hoped to beat his time from last year, but now I just hope to finish the Army 10 Miler here in DC next weekend. I'm so proud of him and all that he's doing over there.
So other than that, not much has changed, the time is passing and rather quickly!! He has put in for his leave at about the half way point, so I'm totally looking forward to that! The dogs and I are getting along as best we can without the man of the house. We've fallen into a routine that isn't that much different from the one we had when Chris was home, which should make the transition home a little easier. We are really looking forward to that day.
So that's pretty much it. With the holiday's coming up I would encourage everyone to be thinking of Chris and his soldiers. Take a moment to send them something to let them know you're thinking of them.
Your continued support is much appreciated, we couldn't get through this without it.
Love
Heather
