So I just got done with the most amazing 4 days with the most amazing woman...my wife Heather.

Our mobilization is done and we are ready to deploy, thankfully the army gave us a 4 day pass.  Heather flew in to Milwaukee and I rented a car and drove there to pick her up.  Her dad got us 2 free nights at the Residence Inn right in Downtown on the river.  It was a great room with a great location.  I was really impressed with Milwaukee, lots to do downtown and it's right on the lake and river.  We relaxed, mostly, with a few walks along the lake and river mixed in.  took a tour of the Miller Brewing Co and went to a Brewers game, of course!  While at the game we came up with some really good ideas for our wedding, I'm not going to ruin it on here, you'll all have to come to see for yourselves!  It was nice to see my wife one last time before we leave, the 2 weeks leading up to our mobilization were rushed and jam packed with family and friends which didn't leave a lot of time for just the 2 of us.  This weekend was ONLY the 2 of us, it was a nice re-do.  I dropped her off at the airport this afternoon and it was the extremely hard to say good bye, this time I know for a fact that it will be at least 6 months before I see her again, and that's if I am able to get leave when I want to take it, it could be longer.  One thing I realized over the past month or so is that this separation is definitely bringing us closer together.  I wouldn't have married her if I didn't love her, but this trying time we're going through has brought us even closer and brought our relationship to another level.  I'd like to thank you, Heather, for being my rock and being so strong through all of this.  It makes it so much easier for me to concentrate on taking care of my soldiers knowing that I have your support.  I love you.

As for when we leave...I can't tell you.  It may be soon, it may not be.  They won't tell us exact dates due to...well, blogs and facebook.  The army doesn't want people blabbing the dates and times on the Internet for the whole world to see.  So keep checking this blog for updates.
