Day 8 of 400

Just wanted to let everyone know that Chris is still in the states doing some training. Still no word when he'll take the long flight over seas. He spent the Fourth of July with his unit, playing ladder golf and corn hole followed by a bbq. Monday started with work early, there seems to be a lot to plan! He seems to be doing well so far!! I tell ya, I can't believe its only been 8 days since he left. It feels like a lot longer than that.

We spent the fourth down at the capital, a pretty incredible place to be when you're feeling patriotic and proud of all our soldiers. My mom and I met up with a couple of other army wives to share in the festivities. It was amazing! 

My mom just left today, it was really great to have her here. She was a really great distraction and even better company. Now the house is quiet, my roommate is at home for a couple of days, so I'm all alone in this house and I'm doing OK! I'm actually looking forward to things back to normal and settling into a routine. Hopefully that will make the days go by quicker!

So in a nut shell, Chris is doing well, Sweet Pea hasn't had any "I miss Chris" accidents in the house and I haven't lost it! I think I can safely say that without the support of great friends and family, I would be in a much different, much more depressing place. So thank you all for the kind words and prayers, we hear them and are encouraged and comforted!
